I just put the Swandiv website up 5 days ago and already got the top rank for searching “swandiv” on DuckDuckGo. Unfortunately, Google is a different story.
I asked Google’s AI Mode chatbot if it knows about Swandiv. It told me about swan dives, thinking I made a typo. There was no typo, I’m good at spelling. So I told it about my business and asked it to ask me more questions about it.
After obliging, I went to a different phone and asked Google about Swandiv. It told me that websites with the .ing TLD takes longer for them to index. No worries. The cool thing was that it had some info about my site this time, when mere minutes ago it didn’t even know I existed.
The lesson here is that Socratic questioning of an AI, and cleverly getting it to ask you questions, can teach it about your business. This is a new AEO tactic people should be aware of: Ask the answer engines about your business, then tell it what you want it to know if it doesn’t know anything.
Don’t be evil, though. Feeding it false information about people you don’t like is mean.
